Train For Rugby

Collision strength, explosive power, and the conditioning to dominate for a full 80 minutes.

What This Does For Your Game

Collision Strength

Rugby is a contact sport first. We build the raw strength, trunk stiffness, and bracing capacity you need to win collisions, hold your ground in the tackle, and dominate at the breakdown — whether you carry or defend.

Explosive Power & Speed

Line breaks, tackles, and clearouts all require explosive force production. We develop the lower-body power, acceleration, and reactive agility that separates you from the players around you.

Injury Resilience

Shoulders, knees, and ankles take a beating in rugby. We strengthen the joints, build the muscle mass that protects them, and address the imbalances that make injuries more likely — keeping you on the pitch all season.

What The Training Involves

1

Physical Assessment

We test your strength, power, and movement quality, and understand the demands of your position — whether you’re a front-row forward who needs to scrummage or a winger who needs to burn the outside channel.

2

Maximal Strength Training

Heavy compound lifts — squats, bench press, deadlifts, rows — to build the raw strength and body mass that underpins everything in rugby. Programmed progressively and aligned to your season.

3

Power & Speed Development

Olympic lift variations, plyometrics, and sprint work to convert your strength into on-field power. We develop the explosive qualities that make the difference in contact and open play.

4

Rugby-Specific Conditioning

Interval-based conditioning that mirrors the demands of a match — repeated high-intensity efforts with short recovery. We build the engine to keep working at full intensity deep into the second half.

Who It’s For

Club & Social Rugby Players

You train with the team but don’t have access to a proper S&C programme. Individual strength and conditioning work gives you a physical edge and keeps you available for selection all season.

Junior & Colts Players

Young players transitioning to senior rugby need to build muscle, strength, and robustness. We develop the physical qualities that help you compete safely at a higher level.

Players Returning From Injury

Coming back from a shoulder, knee, or concussion-related layoff? We bridge the gap between rehab and full contact — rebuilding strength, confidence, and match fitness progressively.
