Right, quick one from me. We have made some changes to the timetable for February based on what you lot have been telling me. I asked for feedback at the end of January and loads of you came back with genuinely useful suggestions, so here is what is changing and why.
More evening Peak Performance slots
This was the biggest request by far. The Tuesday and Thursday evening Peak Performance sessions have been full for weeks and I have had people messaging me saying they cannot get a spot. That is a good problem to have, but it is still a problem.
So from February we are adding a Wednesday evening Peak Performance at 7:30pm. Same format, same intensity, just an extra option in the middle of the week. If you have been struggling to get into the Tuesday or Thursday sessions, this should sort you out.
I have also pushed the Thursday session back by 30 minutes to 8:00pm. A few of you mentioned that 7:30 was tight if you are commuting back from Bedford or further. An extra half hour should make it more realistic for those of you who finish work a bit later.
Saturday morning HIIT+RUN
This is a new one. We are launching a Saturday morning HIIT+RUN at 9:00am. It is exactly what it sounds like — a mix of high-intensity circuit work and running. We will use the space around The Engine Shed for the running portions and come back inside for the conditioning blocks.
I have wanted to add this for a while. Saturday mornings are a great time for training. You are not rushing to get to work, the energy in the group is always different at weekends, and it is a brilliant way to start your Saturday before you do anything else. Sessions will run for about 45 minutes.
Better spacing between sessions
One thing I noticed from the feedback was that some of you felt the back-to-back sessions in the evening were a bit rushed. The gap between the 6:30 and 7:30 sessions was not leaving enough time to properly reset the space and for people arriving to the second class to get sorted.
I have added an extra 15 minutes of buffer between consecutive evening sessions. That means the first session ends with a proper cool-down without me having to rush it, and you are not walking into a class where the previous group is still packing up. Small change, big difference.
What is staying the same
The morning sessions are not changing. The 6:30am and 7:30am slots Monday to Friday are working well and attendance has been solid. The lunchtime Wednesday session stays too. If it is not broken I am not going to fix it.
Book your spots early
The new sessions will be live for booking from Monday 3rd February. If the existing evening sessions are anything to go by, the Wednesday Peak Performance and Saturday HIIT+RUN will fill up quickly. I would get in early if you want a guaranteed spot.
